Masari woos academic professionals to support Tinubu’s re-election bid

Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters, has engaged a group of Katsina State indigenous professors, university academics and education professionals in a strategic consultation ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting brought together distinguished academics from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), Bayero University Kano (BUK), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU).

The engagement, convened by Prof. Mohammed Sanda, focused on the political future of Katsina State and Nigeria, with particular emphasis on strengthening support and strategic mobilisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umar Radda ahead of the 2027 elections.

Masari, accompanied by Dr. Idris Bugaji, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development; Hajiya Aisha Rimi, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC); Hon. Jabiru Tsauri; Alhaji Shehu Matazu; Hon. Murtala Safana; and Hon. Hamza Sule Faskari, emphasised the importance of political unity, strategic engagement and collective responsibility in sustaining development.

The professors and academics expressed their support for the Tinubu–Dikko 2027 re-election agenda, while emphasising the important role of academics and professionals in policy advocacy, public enlightenment and grassroots mobilisation.

Masari commended the distinguished professors and academics for their commitment to Katsina State and urged them to remain united and actively contribute to the state’s political and developmental progress.
