Authorities in Imo State, Nigeria, are seeking the whereabouts of Mr. Nkem Chukwuebuka Godwin of 10 Anokwuru Street, Owerri, following allegations of engaging in homosexuality, an act deemed illegal under Nigerian law.
The incident was reported by his wife, Mrs. Nkem, who allegedly discovered him in a sexual act with another man on March 4, 2024.
The local vigilante group in Okolochi apprehended both individuals involved, but Mr. Nkem escaped en route to the police station and is now at large.
The case has been formally lodged with the authorities, who are actively pursuing leads.
Community members and the public are urged to report any information about his whereabouts to the Okolochi Community Head or the nearest police station
