A gay man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has recounted a horrific ordeal that began on April 9, 2024, when he and his partner were brutally attacked by hoodlums.
The couple was ambushed in the morning, and while the survivor managed to escape, his partner tragically lost his life.
The hoodlums, fuelled by hate and intolerance, then tracked down the survivor’s shop, destroying it and setting it ablaze.
The attack also damaged neighbouring businesses, prompting the owners to threaten the survivor’s life.
Forced into hiding, the survivor received devastating news on April 20, 2024, that the hoodlums had attacked his family, leaving his child, Aliyah Bakare, fatally injured. Despite efforts to save her, Aliyah succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
