Former lawmaker, Hon. Rotimi Makinde has officially launched StressFree Cafe, a culinary and community hub designed to tackle hunger and poverty in Ile-Ife.

Situated not too distant from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) gate, the restaurant marks a significant investment in community welfare and local economic growth, Makinde noted.

The cafe specializes in beloved Nigerian classics, including Amala and Gbegiri and Pounded Yam, alongside a variety of conventional dishes tailored to the student population of the nearby university.

The facility also includes event spaces, lodging, and vocational training centers aimed at reducing unemployment.

Hon. Makinde, who previously established Oodua FM 90.9 added that this new venture is a continuation of his commitment to creating sustainable income sources for his people.

Makinde further revealed that a hotel is also currently in development to complement the cafe’s services.
