A Lagos-based woman, Daizy Peace Great, has raised an alarm over alleged threats, harassment, and intimidation from her in-laws, which she says have turned her once peaceful marriage into a living nightmare.

In a sworn affidavit obtained by our reporters at the Lagos High Court, Mrs. Great, a Nigerian citizen, adult, and Christian residing at No. 65 Illesanmi Street, Surulere, Lagos, disclosed that she has been facing relentless pressure from her husband’s family, who are allegedly trying to forcefully end her marriage to Prince Great Momoh.

According to her statement, the marriage was solemnized in accordance with Nigerian law and tradition.

But things turned dark when her in-laws allegedly began issuing threats aimed at destroying the marriage, reportedly due to her sexual orientation.

“My movement has been restricted. I live in constant fear. I can’t even seek help freely,” she lamented.

Mrs. Great also revealed that the threats have extended beyond her own safety. Her in-laws are allegedly threatening to take her children away from her.

“They want to separate me from my kids. The fear and mental stress are unbearable,” she added.

In her appeal, Mrs. Great is calling on the authorities and relevant agencies to intervene and ensure her safety and that of her children.
