The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps on Thursday apprehended 13 individuals suspected of engaging in criminal activities on the Ladipo and Bolade pedestrian bridges.

The arrests were carried out by a coordinated effort between local police and security agencies as part of a broader initiative to enhance public safety and combat street crime in the area.

The suspects were taken to the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) office for profiling and further investigation.

According to the authorities, these individuals will face legal proceedings in accordance with state laws, with the goal of ensuring accountability and deterring future criminal behaviour.

This operation is part of ongoing efforts by the Lagos State government to address rising concerns about crime and maintain the safety of public spaces across the city.

Further updates on the outcomes of the profiling and subsequent legal actions are expected to be released in the coming days.
