Lagos launches new electronic planning system

The Lagos State Government has introduced the Electronic Physical Planning Processing System (E-PPPS), a digital platform designed to reduce delays and improve the process of getting planning permits in the state.
The platform was unveiled during a stakeholders sensitisation programme organised by the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro, said the new system is an important step in the state’s move towards digital governance and better service delivery.
According to him, the platform will allow applicants to submit and track their permit applications online in real time, making the process more transparent and reducing uncertainty.
Government officials present at the event also noted that the system is expected to address long-standing complaints about delays in permit approvals while making the process faster and easier for developers and other professionals in the built environment.
The E-PPPS is part of Lagos State’s wider effort to improve public service through technology and ensure a more efficient permit approval system.
