Lagos KAI Operatives rescue abandoned baby from Alakija junkyard

Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, popularly known as KAI, have rescued an abandoned baby from a junkyard in the Alakija area along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
The rescue occurred during an ongoing multi-agency cleanup operation along the expressway corridor aimed at clearing structures and activities deemed hazardous to public health and safety.
The incident was first highlighted on Wednesday by popular blogger Linda Ikeji via her official Instagram account.
The rescued infant was promptly transferred to the custody of the appropriate state welfare authorities.
Further details regarding the child’s health status and efforts to locate the parents or guardians remain ongoing.
