…Says President’s performance guarantees second-term success
The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure a landslide victory in the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking to journalists at the council secretariat in Ita-Marun, Epe, following the endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term during a stakeholders’ forum held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos, on Tuesday, October 21, Princess Animashaun said the President’s achievements so far have set the stage for an overwhelming re-election.
“The victory is already guaranteed, considering the superlative performance of Mr. President in repositioning the nation’s economy and strengthening national governance,” she said.
The council boss explained that the stakeholders’ meeting was aimed at mobilising Lagosians and Nigerians to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise and to sensitise the public on the importance of the 2027 general elections.
Highlighting several socio-economic and security reforms initiated under President Tinubu’s administration, Animashaun said the President inherited an economy “in a comatose state” but has since steered it toward recovery and growth.
“We must have faith in the APC-led government. Though the present situation may seem challenging, it will soon translate to improved welfare for the common man,” she said.
She also called on residents of Lagos, particularly in Epe, to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise.
“Your vote is your power. Let us get registered because there is light at the end of the tunnel,” she urged.
Princess Animashaun further commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his leadership and commitment to continuity of good governance in Lagos State.
“Governor Sanwo-Olu has been consistent in following the visionary steps of President Tinubu, ensuring Lagos remains a model for development and progress,” she added.
