Kano pilgrims board introduces Hajj medical screening at LG level

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board says it will introduce an outreach medical screening programme at the Local Government Area level for 2027 intending pilgrims.
The Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, disclosed this in a statement issued by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, on Tuesday in Kano.
“The initiative is aimed at making medical screening easier and more accessible, particularly for those residing in rural areas of the state.
“The board will also introduce additional arrangements for the 2027 Hajj exercise after all intending pilgrims have been uploaded to the relevant server,” the statement said.
It advised all intending pilgrims who were yet to submit their passports to do so within the stipulated period to avoid missing the deadline.
The statement appreciated the state government for its contributions and support toward the welfare of pilgrims in the state.
