The commitment was made by Dr Abdullahi Baba, the Managing Director of Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA) while inspecting the Kayarda-Dan Alhaji road project in Lere Local Government Area on Monday.

He said the road, being constructed by PW Nigeria Ltd., connected several farming communities and provided access to the Kano road.

According to him, the project is part of 165 new road projects initiated by Gov. Uba Sani’s administration, covering 1,400 kilometres across the state’s 23 local government areas.

He said the contractor was working on the sub base and expected to lay the crushed stone base before the end of November.

Baba added that the Pambegua and Zuntu township roads, including the Zuntu Palace road in Kubau Local Government Area, would be completed soon.

He said the agency was satisfied with the quality of the drainage structures and the results of the sub base density tests.

Usman said the quality of work was encouraging and appreciated the installation of solar lights, which he said fulfilled a promise made to residents.
