Kaduna Government orders probe into killing of secondary school student

Kaduna State Government has directed the Ministry of Education and security agencies to launch an investigation into the tragic killing of a Senior Secondary School 2 (SS2) student at Government Technical College, Malali, Kaduna.

The victim, identified as 15-year-old Ahmed Musa, was reportedly murdered and his body abandoned within the school premises on Sunday.

Expressing deep concern over the incident, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Malam Rabiu Yunusa, conveyed Governor Uba Sani’s dismay at the killing.

He assured the bereaved family that the government would leave no stone unturned in identifying and prosecuting those responsible for the heinous act.

In an official statement issued in Kaduna, Yunusa emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring justice is served.

He stated that security operatives are actively investigating the matter, with a firm resolve to apprehend the perpetrators and hold them accountable under the law.

“This incident is being thoroughly investigated by the state’s security agencies. We will ensure that those behind this crime are caught and punished to serve as a deterrent against future occurrences,” Yunusa affirmed.

He further reassured the public that measures will be put in place to prevent similar tragedies in schools across the state. “We are taking this issue seriously, and steps will be taken to enhance security within school environments to avoid a recurrence of such unfortunate events,” he added.
