Jigawa Governor-elect, Namadi promises justice, fairness, pragmatic leadership


Umar Namadi, the governor-elect of Jigawa State, has pledged to prioritise justice, fairness and pragmatic leadership in his government in the state.

In an acceptance speech after being announced winner of the election in the state, Namadi expressed gratitude to the people of the State for reposing their trust in him by electing him as their governor, assuring that he would not disappoint their trust.

He explained, “I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who cast a ballot in this election. Your votes have demonstrated that you share our vision for a greater Jigawa State and I promise to work assiduously to make that vision a reality.”

Deputy governor’s office, the governor-elect thanked Governor Muhammad Badaru for his mentorship and service to the state, saying that nothing would have been possible about the milestone without his approach to leadership.

He assured that as the people celebrate his victory, it is not a victory for him or his party, but a victory for all the people of Jigawa State, a testament to the effectiveness of their democracy and to the strength and resilience of their people.

He also assured of his commitment to building a strong economy, creating jobs, expanding access to quality education, and enhancing healthcare services in the state.

He promised to make investments in critical infrastructure to facilitate travel and commerce across the state.
