JAMB: You can now upload your O’level results from home

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system that allows candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for unnecessary visits to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
The new arrangement, which begins with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), enables JAMB to verify candidates’ Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results directly with the examination bodies that issued them.
According to the Board, the initiative is part of efforts to make its services “easier, faster, safer and more convenient” for candidates, particularly during periods of high patronage at CBT centres.
Under the new system, candidates will first obtain a verification code after confirming their examination details and making the required payment. They can then send “VERIFY” alongside the verification code to 55019 or 66019, after which the result will be uploaded and a notification sent to the candidate.
JAMB said candidates with two sittings would be required to access their profiles on the e-Facility platform and select the relevant subjects from their verified results.
The Board explained that the digital process was designed to tackle some of the problems associated with manual O’Level result uploads.
It said the previous system could expose candidates to issues such as misplaced or mixed-up paper results, fraudulent or unverified certificates, as well as mistakes in manually entering subjects and grades.
“Through the integration of JAMB’s eFacility platform with examination bodies, results can now be verified directly against the examination body’s records,” the Board stated.
Under the new procedure, candidates are required to visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng, enter their National Identification Number (NIN), select the number of sittings and examination body, provide their email address and phone number, and complete payment through the available payment gateway.
After entering their examination number, series and year, candidates can verify their results and obtain the required verification code.
For the second stage, candidates send “VERIFY” followed by the verification code to 55019 or 66019. Candidates with two sittings will subsequently log into their e-Facility dashboard and click on “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”
They will then enter their verification code, select the required subjects from the displayed results and apply the O’Level results.
JAMB noted that candidates must select a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects, with no subject selected more than once.
The Board said the initiative would provide candidates with a more convenient option, especially when CBT centres experience large crowds or network difficulties.
It also linked the development to the commitment of the sixth JAMB Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to improving customer service through technology.
“The Board will continue to deploy technology and collaborate with relevant examination and government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible to candidates,” JAMB said.
The Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, described the development as part of the Board’s broader effort to place candidates at the centre of service delivery.
The new system is expected to reduce queues at CBT centres while giving candidates greater control over the process of submitting their O’Level results for admission-related purposes.
