I’m confident in Presidential Election Tribunal – Peter Obi

Three weeks after the 25th February Presidential election, Peter Obi, candidate of the Labour Party, has opened up on the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.

“I am confident in the judiciary. I am because I had stayed in court for three years when people said you couldn’t become a governor through the Court, and I became the first (to reclaim a stolen mandate),” he said.

Peter Obi was dissatisfied with the results the Independent National Electoral Commission announced, declaring Bola Ahmed Tinubu the All Progressives Congress election winner.

The former governor has approached the election tribunal claiming he won the election.

Similarly, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party has also approached the Court, claiming victory.

The President-elect, Tinubu, has expressed commitment to defending his victory at the polls.
