The protracted crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ife Federal Constituency has been laid to rest after a reconciliation meeting at the residence of Osun State Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi.

The Friday parley brought together key stakeholders, including former PDP National Secretary and Board of Trustee member, Prof. Wale Oladipo, State Chairman Hon. Sunday Bisi, Senatorial Leader Prince Akin Famuyide, commissioners, advisers, local government chairmen, councillors, and executives from both zonal and state levels.

Prof. Oladipo assured members that lasting peace had been achieved, declaring: “There is no more war in the party. We are one indivisible family.”

The peace deal followed weeks of turbulence sparked by a September 1 communiqué in which some members passed a vote of no confidence on Prof. Oladipo, Deputy Governor Adewusi, and Ife East PDP Chairman, Hon. Olasunkanmi Makinde.

The state leadership immediately intervened, summoning all sides to dialogue and setting up a process that culminated in the final resolution.

Deputy Governor Adewusi told journalists after the meeting that the row was nothing more than “a family affair, a storm in a teacup” that has now been peacefully resolved.

Hon. Sunday Bisi commended party members for embracing dialogue over division, stressing that PDP’s internal structures remain strong enough to withstand disputes.
