The community of Ikorodu were throng into fear after the heavy downpour of rain on Saturday as 87-year-old Christiana Pedetin Ogunseye was gruesomely murdered at her residence located at Ebute Road Area of Ikorodu, Lagos state.

It was gathered that the deceased’ lifeless body was found on her bed in a pool of blood on Saturday night, indicating that she was murdered.

According to a source in the area, the deceased, who has three children was hale and hearty with no sign of illness before her untimely death.

Speaking on the incident, the deceased’s brother, Shola Fasinu, said the news of his sister’s demise came as a rude shock.

He narrated how the family of the late deceased has been troubled in the past year from numerous threats, most especially her son Shadrack Olamilekan Ogunseye and his family.

But he expressed disappointment in the police for not arresting anybody yet in connection with the incident.

Fasinu said, “My sister’s corpse was found on her bed in a pool of blood which showed she was hacked to death I cannot believe that no arrests have been made up till the moment of talking to you. I feel suspects should have been arrested.

“The assailants have been searching for my sister’s son and his family thereby thronging the family to sleepless nights.

He said, “I must be very honest with you, it has not been very easy with me too as I have done everything, I can do but to no avail. I heard how her son Shadrack Ogunseye was chased by two hefty men into a moving vehicle that hit him, leaving him lifeless and the driver running away, I also thank God for the timely interventions of good Samaritans who took him to a nearby hospital where he was given a proper medical attention, although he had a fracture on his right leg but he survived the incident.”
