Governor Namadi appoints Emir of Dutse as 2026 Amirul Hajj

Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has officially appointed His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Hamim Muhammad Nuhu Sanusi, the Emir of Dutse, as the Amirul Hajj and leader of the state delegation for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The announcement, released by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim, also confirmed the appointment of a specialized team to assist the Emir. 

This team includes Malam Umaru Nasarawa, Alhaji Kabiru Ali (Kachallan Dutse), a representative of the Emir of Gumel, and Imam Nura Salisu Abubakar, the Chief Imam of the Kazaure Central Mosque.

According to the statement, these selections were based on the appointees' proven track records of patriotism, trustworthiness, and piety.

The SSG congratulated the new members, urging them to uphold these values to justify the confidence placed in them by the state government and the people of Jigawa.

The Amirul Hajj team is tasked with collaborating closely with the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board and relevant federal and international agencies to ensure a seamless and efficient pilgrimage experience for all participants.
