Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday inaugurated two major infrastructure projects in Ogun State, commissioning the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence and the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate in Abeokuta.

The official inauguration formed part of the First Lady’s second official visit to the state.

The newly commissioned Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, situated adjacent to the Governor’s Office, is designed as a state-of-the-art facility offering specialist care in fields ranging from orthopedics to neurosciences, complete with a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

In addition to the healthcare facility, Senator Tinubu inaugurated the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate located in Kobape, along the Abeokuta–Sagamu Expressway.

The development features 108 four-bedroom duplexes situated within a gated community equipped with a 24-hour power supply, water distribution networks, perimeter security, and dedicated green spaces.

The projects were completed by the administration of the state Governor, Dapo Abiodun, through public-private partnerships after previous efforts on the sites had stalled.

Speaking on the development, stakeholders commended the state government for reviving the critical projects and expanding infrastructure, while emphasizing the importance of establishing sustained maintenance frameworks to preserve the facilities.
