The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched “Project Nigeria,” an ambitious pipeline of 65 bankable investment opportunities valued at $78.5 billion, targeting global and domestic institutional capital.

The portfolio was presented on Wednesday at the Nigeria Investors Forum, held on the sidelines of the 2026 World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Thailand.

The initiative represents a concerted push by the Federal Ministry of Finance to mobilize private financing for critical national infrastructure and industrial development.

Anchoring the presentation to international financiers, the Ministry highlighted strengthening macroeconomic indicators that point to renewed investor confidence.

Key data showcased included a five-year peak in economic growth, headline inflation easing by nearly eight percentage points year-on-year, external reserves climbing to $54.6 billion, doubled foreign capital inflows, and upward sovereign credit rating actions across all three major international agencies.

The 65 transactions span five priority sectors designed to drive systemic growth, including energy and gas midstream, transport and logistics, agriculture and agro-industry, industrial manufacturing, and technology-driven digital infrastructure.

To de-risk private capital entry, the Federal Government reaffirmed a series of investor-friendly regulatory guarantees, such as 100 percent foreign ownership allowances across most sectors, unrestricted repatriation of capital and net profits, and robust treaty-based investment protections.

Detailed project profiles, bankability appraisals, and transaction structures have been made accessible via the Ministry of Finance dedicated investment portal to facilitate direct deal-room engagements.
