…Timber merchant among latest ₦1 million winners in Season 10 draw

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has reaffirmed its dedication to financial inclusion and customer empowerment by rewarding 3,016 customers in the ongoing Season 10 edition of its Millionaire Promo.

The nationwide savings campaign, which runs for six months and concludes in September, has already produced 12 new millionaires, each receiving ₦1 million, while an additional 3,004 customers have benefitted from various cash prizes across the country.

Winners have been selected through transparent electronic draws held monthly from January to June 2025.

At the fifth draw conducted on June 17, four more customers were awarded the top ₦1 million prize. The latest winners include Ranti Badmos from Lagos, Wilson Onoezikome from Kaduna, Esther Obafemi from Ijebu-Ode, and Israel Oruma, a timber trader based in Asaba.

Oruma described his win as a turning point, noting that the funds would help revive his struggling business.

“This is a pleasant surprise. I have been facing financial challenges recently. The ₦1 million will go a long way in assisting me. I’m investing it in my business and will encourage all my staff, family, and friends to open an account with the Bank. Thank you, FCMB,” he said.

Adetunji Lamidi, Divisional Head of Personal Banking at FCMB, said the promo is a reflection of the bank’s enduring commitment to improving the lives of everyday Nigerians through meaningful financial initiatives.

“In light of the current economic climate, this programme supports a savings culture, rewards loyalty, and strengthens customers’ financial well-being. It is about transforming consistent savings into tangible opportunities,” he said.

To qualify for the draw, customers are required to increase their savings by at least ₦10,000 and maintain the balance for 30 days. Each additional ₦10,000 saved increases their chances of winning. The promo is open to new, existing, and reactivated accounts.

The draw process is conducted under the supervision of regulatory authorities and has received commendation for its fairness and integrity. Oyinkan Kusamotu, Principal Legal Officer at the Lagos State Lottery and Gaming Authority, applauded FCMB for upholding transparency and compliance.

“The openness we have observed reinforces public confidence and assures customers that their participation is secure and respected,” she said.

As the promo enters its final months, FCMB is encouraging more Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunity to grow their savings and potentially join the expanding list of millionaire beneficiaries.
