Equities slip 0.36% as market capitalization falls to ₦95.32tn

Trading activities on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) closed on a negative note on Thursday, November 6, 2025, as the All-Share Index (ASI) dropped by 0.36 percent to settle at 150,026.55 points.
The dip in the benchmark index reflected a general decline in market performance, bringing the equity market capitalisation down to ₦95.32 trillion.
Similarly, the Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) market capitalisation fell by 0.41 percent to ₦32.44 billion, while the fixed income segment remained flat at ₦52.59 trillion.
Despite the downturn, investor sentiment stayed positive in some counters, with UPDC Plc emerging as the top gainer of the day, rising by 9.83 percent to close at ₦6.59 per share.
FCMB Group followed with an 8.00 percent appreciation to ₦10.80, while Omatek Ventures gained 7.44 percent to end at ₦1.30 per share.
AIICO Insurance and AXA Mansard Insurance also featured among the top performers, advancing by 5.35 percent each to close at ₦3.74 and ₦14.00 per share, respectively.
