Gov. Umar Namadi of Jigawa has appointed the Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Dr Najib Adamu, as Amirul Hajj and leader of the government delegation for the 2025 Hajj.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa, Malam Bala Ibrahim, made available to newsmen on Monday.
The governor also approved the appointment of members of the Hajj team to support the leader, including Dr Yusuf Abdurrahman, the Chief Imam of Hadejia Emirate and Alhaji Lawan Ya’u-Roni, the Talban Kazaure.
Other members are Dr Mahmoud Yunusa, Sa’in Dutse and Alhaji Adamu Dauda Zakar, Durbin Hadejia respectively.
The statement indicated that the appointments were in recognition of the peoples’ distinguished records of hard work, commitment, patriotism, trustworthiness and piety.
While congratulating the team, the SSG urged the 2025 Hajj team leaders to maintain the virtues as they undertake the important responsibilities bestowed on them by the government and people of Jigawa.
The team is expected to work with the Jigawa Pilgrims Welfare Board and relevant bodies at the state, federal and international levels for a successful Hajj.
