Ekiti poll: Early distribution of sensitive materials signals smooth start in Ado-Ekiti

The distribution of sensitive election materials commenced early on Saturday in Ado-Ekiti as preparations gathered momentum for the Ekiti State governorship election.
At the Registration Area Centre (RAC) located at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Primary School, electoral officials sorted and dispatched sensitive materials to various polling units across the Ado-Ekiti Local Government Area.
Security was visibly heightened at the centre, with a heavy deployment of personnel ensuring the orderly movement of election materials and officials.
By 7:15 a.m., voters had begun arriving at several polling units within the local government area, awaiting the commencement of the voting process.
At Polling Unit 9, Ward 11, election materials had already been delivered alongside National Youth Service Corps members serving as ad hoc election officials and police officers assigned to provide security.

Electoral personnel made final preparations ahead of the official commencement of voting at 8:30 a.m.
The timely deployment of sensitive materials and the early arrival of voters underscored a positive start to the electoral exercise, with many residents expressing their readiness to participate in the democratic process.
