The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee has disqualified one of the aspirants, Kayode Ojo, from participating in the party’s governorship primary election scheduled for October 27th in Ekiti State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has already fixed the main Ekiti State governorship election for July 20, 2026.
The APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Duro Meseko, made the announcement while briefing journalists in Abuja on Thursday.
He confirmed that only two aspirants, the incumbent Governor Abiodun Oyebanji and Omolayo Oluremi were cleared by the party to contest in the upcoming primary election. The reason for Ojo’s disqualification was not immediately disclosed.
