The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim community across the state following the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Governor characterized the 30-day fast as a sacred period of profound reflection, self-discipline, and a renewed dedication to the service of both the Almighty and humanity.
Governor Abiodun praised the steadfastness of the Muslim Ummah, noting that the essence of the season extended far beyond physical abstinence.
He highlighted the increased acts of charity, compassion, and support for the vulnerable as vital contributions that strengthen the social fabric of Ogun State.
According to the Governor, these communal values are essential for building a more resilient and faith-driven society.
Expressing his gratitude for the spiritual support of the Muslim community, the Governor acknowledged the importance of their continuous prayers for peace, stability, and effective governance.
He noted that such devotion remains a cornerstone of the state’s democratic growth and regional unity.
“As our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, we join them in gratitude to Almighty Allah for the grace to witness the conclusion of this blessed month,” the Governor remarked.
He further challenged the faithful to ensure that the virtues of patience (sabr), humility, and righteousness do not dissipate with the end of the fast.
Instead, he urged that these principles become permanent guides for daily conduct.
Reaffirming his administration’s stance on inclusive governance, Governor Abiodun assured residents that his commitment to social welfare and state development remains unwavering for all citizens, regardless of their religious leanings.
He concluded by offering prayers for sustained prosperity and divine blessings upon Ogun State and the nation at large.
