EFCC Chairman tasks students on integrity, discipline for future leadership

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has urged students across the country to embrace integrity, discipline and hard work as essential qualities for responsible leadership and national development.

Olukoyede gave the charge during a sensitisation lecture organised for pupils of Loyola Jesuit Basic School, Karu–Karshi Road, Gidan Mangoro, Abuja, who visited the EFCC Academy on an educational excursion.

Represented by the Head, Media Academy Unit, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, Chidimma Amanambu, the EFCC Chairman advised the students to avoid dishonest practices and criminal activities while remaining committed to excellence and good moral conduct.

According to him, discipline, truthfulness, originality and diligence remain key virtues required to build a better future for the country.

“You are the future leaders. Be disciplined, truthful, original and hardworking. These values will make you responsible leaders that Nigeria will be proud of,” he stated.

As part of the interactive session, Deputy Superintendent of the EFCC, Angel O. Israel, delivered a lecture titled, “Consequences of Crime and the Benefits of Good Morals.”

The lecture exposed the pupils to the history, mandate and operations of the Commission, including offences investigated by the anti-graft agency and career opportunities available within the EFCC.

Speaking on behalf of the pupils and management of the school, the leader of the delegation, Ramat Joshua, commended the Commission for the enlightening session and the opportunity given to the students to learn more about the activities of the EFCC.

Joshua noted that the excursion provided valuable insight into the importance of integrity, accountability and patriotism among young Nigerians.
