Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has declared that the people of the state are proud to align with President Bola Tinubu, crediting his bold leadership decisions for shaping Nigeria’s future.
Speaking in Abakaliki during a town hall meeting organised by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the governor described Tinubu as a leader with the courage to take tough decisions that are already yielding results.
“It is difficult to be a great leader without the willpower to take bold steps. The decisions taken by the president may have tough implications, but Nigerians are now seeing their benefits,” Nwifuru said.
The governor added that Tinubu’s leadership is divinely guided, noting that his successes so far were a testament to his resilience and divine backing. “Tinubu’s presidency is spiritual. Human beings may fight, but God is with him, and that is why he is succeeding,” he said.
Nwifuru further stressed that the president’s trust in him has greatly influenced Ebonyi’s progress, promising to continue delivering results in appreciation of Tinubu’s support. “When the time comes, we would face those making noise and show them our stuff,” he declared.
Highlighting his administration’s strides, Nwifuru listed achievements in infrastructure, education, health, and human capital development, while urging the federal delegation to spend more time in the state to witness the scope of ongoing projects.
Minister Mohammed Idris, who led the delegation, commended the massive turnout at the event, describing Ebonyi as a strong beneficiary of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. “We monitored about 20 per cent of projects in the state, and it is clear that Ebonyi is feeling the impact of federal and state interventions,” he said.
He assured the people that the government remains committed to delivering democratic dividends, adding that “a winning team is not supposed to be changed.”
The event was attended by stakeholders including National Assembly members, APC leaders, and other political figures, who all reaffirmed Ebonyi’s support for President Tinubu.
