Easter: Ondo Gov't guarantees peace, hitch free celebrations

The Ondo State Government has assured residents of enhanced security measures across the state ahead of the Easter celebrations.
The government, under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, said comprehensive security arrangements have been activated to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free festive period.
In a statement made available to Journalists by the Commissioner for Information amd National Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, the state government extended Easter greetings to Christians, noting that the safety of residents remains a top priority.
It stated that security agencies have been strategically deployed across the state, with continuous surveillance and intelligence gathering to prevent any breach of peace.
The measures, according to the government, are aimed at ensuring that residents and visitors celebrate in a safe and calm environment.
Residents were advised to remain vigilant and security-conscious at all times, and to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to relevant security agencies.
The government stressed that community cooperation is essential to sustaining peace and security across the state.
It also called on residents to pray for the peace, unity, and progress of Ondo State and Nigeria.
The statement further urged citizens to support Pres. Bola Tinubu as he implements the Renewed Hope Agenda towards national development and prosperity.
The government reiterated its commitment to maintaining law and order before, during, and after the Easter celebrations, assuring that no effort would be spared in safeguarding residents.
