Dangote IPO gives every Nigerian access to world-class investments — FCMB CEO

FCMB Group Chief Executive Ladi Balogun has declared that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE initial public offering (IPO) opens a rare door for everyday citizens.

With the IPO offering 4.1 billion ordinary shares at ₦525 each and a low minimum subscription of just ₦5,250, Balogun noted that the offering breaks down traditional barriers to wealth-building.

“It presents an opportunity for every Nigerian to experience the benefits of investing in world-class and world-scale businesses that would otherwise be inaccessible,” Balogun stated.

The FCMB CEO highlighted how Nigeria’s capital market is deepening through inclusive channels from everyday retail investors utilizing mobile banking and fintech apps to institutional pension funds and international backers.

He also pointed out that the refinery business model remains largely insulated from local macroeconomic and currency pressures.

FCMB Group is actively facilitating the process through its subsidiaries, with First City Monument Bank, FCMB Capital Markets, and CSL Stockbrokers managing distribution, advisory, and issuance roles. The public offer closes on October 13, 2026.
