Daniel Okezue to reprise role in The Butterflies III

Daniel Okezue is set to reprise his role as ‘Ben’ in Butterflies III, the annual stage production and relationship conference by The New Church, a ministry under Kingsword Ministries International.
The production will take place at 4:00 pm on 26 March 2023 at the Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Lagos. The cast also includes Funke Bolodeoku as MD, Desmond Bryce as Jaiyeola Williams, Mayowa Daramola as Jude, and Tosin Olawore as TBarz, among others. Live interlude performances will feature artistes Greatman Takit and Angeloh.
Okezue, who was part of Butterflies I and Butterflies II, made his stage debut in 2014 and has since appeared in multiple productions, known for his ability to infuse roles with his distinctive comedic style and expression.
Beyond acting, Okezue has made significant strides in the creative arts. In 2014, he assembled Creative Lights, a team of fashion and art professionals, including a makeup artist, fashion designer, runway model, and himself as an art and fashion photographer. Their team reached the top ten finalists in the Fayrouz L’Original fashion and art competition, standing out among over 350 teams vying for the grand prize.
In 2019, he played Mazi Obiora in The CONFAB, directed by Nwando Alayande. The satirical play, layered with comedy and sharp dialogue, depicted delegates from Nigeria’s various geopolitical zones gathering at The CONFAB with the singular goal of sharing the “National Cake.” With a 17-member cast, the production ran for two performances each day on 17 and 18 November 2019.
An audience favourite, Okezue’s exploration of the character ‘Ben’ in Butterflies III, promises to be a standout moment of the evening.
