The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved the sum of ₦1,221,532,047.81 for the award of a contract for the comprehensive renovation of Jigawa Hotels Limited, Dutse, a state-owned three-star hotel.
The approval is aimed at the full rehabilitation and upgrade of the hotel’s facilities to meet modern hospitality standards, improve service delivery, enhance guest comfort, and reposition the facility as a preferred destination for both local and international visitors to Jigawa State.
The renovation project is expected to boost tourism activities in the state, increase internally generated revenue, create employment opportunities, and strengthen Jigawa’s hospitality and tourism value chain.
The state government reaffirmed its commitment to strategic investments that support economic diversification, stimulate private sector confidence, and project Jigawa State as a viable hub for tourism, conferences, and business engagements.
