CBN to hold MPC meeting September 22

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced that the 302nd meeting of its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will be held on September 22 and 23, 2025, at its headquarters in Abuja.
According to a notice published on the Bank’s website, the meeting will open at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, and continue on Tuesday, September 23, from 8:00 a.m. in the MPC Meeting Room on the 11th floor of the CBN building.
The MPC, which is charged with setting monetary policy to maintain price stability and safeguard the financial system, will review recent domestic and global economic trends.
Key policy decisions on interest rates, inflation management, and economic direction are expected.
The outcome of the meeting will be closely monitored by investors, analysts, and financial market stakeholders.
Meanwhile, the naira closed marginally stronger at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM) on Tuesday, appreciating by 0.05 percent to ₦1,506.08 per dollar, from ₦1,506.84 the previous day, CBN data showed.
In the parallel market, the local currency held steady at ₦1,520 per dollar, the same rate quoted by Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) for international transactions.
