CAC shifts new fee implementation to Oct. 1

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has postponed the rollout of revised fees for its services, setting a new implementation date of October 1.

In a public notice issued over the weekend in Abuja, the Commission said the decision was taken to prioritise the full stabilisation of its upgraded Company Registration Portal (CRP), which is expected to be fully operational by mid-September.

The revised fees had initially been scheduled to take effect on September 1, following a previous postponement from August 1 due to technical challenges encountered on the enhanced portal.

According to the CAC, the latest extension reflects its resolve to provide optimum value to customers and stakeholders while ensuring a smooth transition into the revised service structure.

The notice stated that the deferment underscores the Commission’s commitment to delivering efficient and customer-focused services that align with international best practices.

The CAC also expressed gratitude to its customers and stakeholders for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during what it described as a crucial phase of its digital transformation journey.

The Commission reaffirmed its pledge to build an intelligent, technology-driven registry to strengthen Nigeria’s ease of doing business reforms and improve overall service delivery.
