Borno APC Stakeholders endorse Tinubu, Shettima for second term

Governor of Borno State, Prof.Babagana Umara Zulum and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borno State have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Senator. Kashim Shettima re-election bid.
The endorsement was reached at a stakeholders’ meeting held in Maiduguri on Saturday, attended by party leaders and government officials across the State.
Governor Zulum, who presided over the meeting, called for unity among members, noting that cohesion remains key to securing victory for the APC in the State.
He urged stakeholders to sustain cooperation and mobilisation efforts ahead of the elections.
The Governor noted that his administration has maintained fairness and inclusiveness among political actors over the years, adding that governance will remain focused on delivering development.
He also assured that political activities will not affect ongoing efforts to provide dividends of democracy to residents.
The meeting had in attendance Deputy Gov. Umar Usman Kadafur, APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Bukar Dalori, State APC Chairman, Bello Ayuba, and Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari.
Others included members of the National and State Assemblies, former deputy governors, and party executives at state and local government levels.
Also present were Secretary to the State Government, Bukar Tijani, Acting Chief of Staff, Dr Babagana Mustapha Mallumbe, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legal and Compliance Matters (VP Office), Barrister Bashir Maidugu, as well as other senior government officials.
The development signals early political alignment within the APC in Borno State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
