Birthday: Gov Adeleke, NIWA boss congratulate APC National Scribe, Ajibola Basiru

Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has extended warm birthday wishes to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, praising his contributions to public service and political growth.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke shared in the celebrations, acknowledging what he described as the divine guidance and perseverance that have shaped Senator Basiru’s journey through life and politics.

“The Governor believes the Osogbo-born lawyer's determination for success, shaped through perseverance and strategic alliances, advanced his rise in society and smoothed his path in public life, securing him two commissioner roles in the state, election to the Senate, and now a key leadership position within the ruling party,” the statement read.

Adeleke added: “I join family and well-wishers to celebrate Barrister Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru on the auspicious occasion of his birthday. While we may differ politically, I acknowledge his service to Osun State at various times.

“It is my prayer that Allah blesses him with many more years in good health and a sound mind. I also hope our political engagements going forward will focus on uniting our people for collective progress rather than perpetuating the kind of division and stagnation we’ve experienced in the past.”

Similarly, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, also felicitated with the APC National Secretary on the occasion.

Oyebamiji, a leading APC gubernatorial aspirant in the forthcoming Osun governorship election, lauded Senator Basiru’s role in consolidating the party’s structure and influence since assuming office as National Secretary.

In a personally signed message, Oyebamiji stated: “On behalf of my family, I wholeheartedly congratulate and celebrate the National Secretary of our party, the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ajibola Basiru, his family, friends, and political associates on this joyous occasion.

“I pray Almighty Allah continues to grant him long life, wisdom, and prosperity. Congratulations,” he added.
