Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Thursday visited former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence following the conclusion of the presidential primaries of the African Democratic Congress.

Atiku was accompanied by former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, former ADC National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu, alongside other leaders and stakeholders of the party.

The meeting comes amid growing political discussions and reactions trailing the outcome of the ADC presidential primaries, where both Atiku and Amaechi emerged as prominent contenders in the race for the party’s presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Although details of the meeting were not officially disclosed, the visit has sparked speculations over possible consultations and reconciliation moves within the party after the keenly contested primary election.

Political observers believe the meeting may not be unconnected with ongoing efforts to strengthen unity within the ADC and consolidate support among party stakeholders ahead of future political engagements.
