The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has reinstated Alhaji Kabir Sani-Giant, Special Adviser to Governor Nasir Idris on Power and Politics, months after his suspension for allegedly bringing a snake into the Government House.
Sani-Giant was initially suspended on 28 February 2025, following accusations that he used the snake to intimidate dignitaries, senior government officials, and statesmen during a controversial episode on 8 February.
Announcing the decision on Monday, APC State Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Kana-Zuru, confirmed that the party’s State Working Committee (SWC) had reviewed an apology letter submitted by Sani-Giant during its meeting on Tuesday and resolved to lift the suspension.
“The committee resolved to reinstate your membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC). You are, therefore, directed to resume your normal responsibilities. Your rights and privileges have been restored,” Kana-Zuru stated in the letter.
The reinstatement takes immediate effect.
