Labour Party governorship aspirant John Nwosu has declared his willingness to support a coalition aimed at preventing the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the November 8 election.

Speaking to journalists in Awka, Nwosu criticised the current administration, arguing that Anambra State had seen little progress despite increased revenue. He accused the government of prioritising infrastructure over security and quality of life.

“The new infrastructure projects do not match the revenue the state has received in the past three years. A government that focuses solely on roads while neglecting peace and security is failing its people,” he said.

Nwosu revealed that discussions were underway among political stakeholders about forming a coalition to challenge Soludo. He stressed that defeating the incumbent was more important than individual political ambitions.

“Anambra’s interest comes first. If forming an alliance is what it takes to end this administration, I am ready to be part of it,” he asserted.

The aspirant expressed confidence in a free and fair election, adding that he remained the best candidate for the Labour Party’s ticket. He also reiterated his commitment to serving only one term if elected.

“If I win the LP primaries, I expect my fellow aspirants to rally behind me. If someone else wins, I will do the same. The goal is to give Anambra the government it deserves,” Nwosu stated.
