Amorim bans four Man Utd players from pre-season tour

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has reportedly bans four senior players from the club’s pre-season tour of the United States as part of a major squad shake-up.
According to the Daily Mail, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho will not be travelling with the squad unless they secure moves away from Old Trafford before the tour begins in July.
Instead, the players are expected to train separately at the club’s Carrington base if they remain on the books beyond that point.
Amorim, who is preparing for his first full campaign at the helm, is seeking to overhaul United’s attacking options following a dismal 2024/25 season. The Red Devils finished in 15th place in the Premier League, their worst top-flight finish since being relegated in 1974, and suffered a 1–0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.
As a result, the club will miss out on European competition for only the second time in 35 years.
United’s summer rebuild is already underway, with a £62.5 million deal completed for Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha. The club is also pursuing a move for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, as Amorim aims to revitalise the squad and lay down a new attacking blueprint.
