BENIN CITY – A same-sex suspect, identified as Happy Oghogho Okuomose has been declared wanted by the Edo State Police Command for alleged involvement in the abominable act with his partner, one Destiny Osazuwa.
The Nigerian NewsDirect gathered that the unlawful homosexual practice between the fleeing Okuomose and Osazuwa happened on October 2nd, 2026 at 116 Murtala Muhammad Way in Benin City
It was gathered that after being caught, the two friends were dragged out by angry neighbours who unleashed terror on them for desecrating the land.
The source stated that while Okuomose managed to escape from the scene of the mob attack, his accomplice, Osazuwa, was not too fortunate.
“He was beaten to a state of stupor with dangerous weapons before the arrival of the Nigerian Police who rescued him and subsequently arrested him ,” the eye-witness added.
Meanwhile, Nigerian NewsDirect was reliably informed that the same angry neighbours went after the fleeing Okuomose, storming his father’s house where they unleashed terror on the occupants of the family residence and inflicting injuries on them.
The source said Okuomose’s father, mother and other family members had to run to avoid being manhandled .
Meanwhile, a Police statement made available to the Nigerian NewsDirect stated that one Happy Oghogho Okuomose and his friend, one Destiny Osazuwa, were allegedly caught on October 2, 2026, secretly indulging in the act of same-sex practice by unsuspecting neighbours at 116 Murtala Muhammad Way in Benin City.
It further said that one of the homosexual suspects, Osazuwa was arrested after being beaten by neighbours while his partner, Okuomose, allegedly escaped.

It will be recalled that the Federal Government of Nigeria passed an Anti-gay Law in 2014, which stated that any person or group of persons caught in the act of lesbianism, gay, bisexual or participating in any of these groups, will have committed an offence punishable by 10-14 years in imprisonment.
