The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lashed out at Governor Ademola Adeleke, dismissing his allegations of a planned protest during President Bola Tinubu’s visit as a byproduct of deep-seated envy and political desperation.

According to a statement by the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Kola Olabisi, the Governor’s claims are baseless, unfounded, and a figment of the imagination of an administration reeling from the mass exodus of its key members.

The APC maintains that Adeleke is envious and fearful of the high-profile defections from the PDP to the APC, including two senators and three House of Representatives members, which the party believes signals the Governor’s imminent loss in the August 8, 2026, election.

The opposition further characterized the state government’s alarm as the hallucinations of a frustrated leader who was allegedly denied entry into the APC because he had nothing to bring to the table.

Rather than plotting mayhem, the APC asserts that President Tinubu’s visit is a source of unlimited joy for its members and that any suggestion of them protesting against their own national leader is too cheap and emanating from a demented mind.

The party concluded by calling on the State Commissioner of Police to monitor the Governor and his associates instead, suggesting that the administration is merely projecting its own devilish intentions onto the opposition to create a smokescreen for the political “perdition” facing the current government.
