Member of the House of Representatives representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Akin Alabi, has debunked rumors of a rift between himself and the Agba Akin Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Teslim Folarin.
Describing the reports as baseless fabrications, Alabi in a statement on Monday maintained that the party remains a cohesive unit, citing the peaceful and successful conduct of the recently concluded ward, local government, and state congresses as indisputable evidence of party maturity and unity.
Alabi described the former Senate Leader as a unifying force whose political philosophy is fundamentally opposed to undermining other candidates.
He noted that anyone who witnessed Folarin’s demeanor during the party’s internal elections would attest to his commitment to maintaining order and harmony.
As the head of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Oyo State, Folarin’s focus remains centered on mobilizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and securing a sweeping victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The lawmaker, who holds the traditional title of Ajia Olubadan of Ibadanland, emphasized that his bond with Folarin transcends politics, rooted in both professional respect and deep-seated cultural ties within the Olubadan chieftaincy line.
He stated emphatically that no one can come in between their relationship, referring to Folarin as his leader and big uncle.
Alabi argued that the Senator’s primary dedication is to the collective progress of the party and the welfare of Oyo State residents rather than engaging in divisive internal squabbles.
Alabi further urged party members and the general public to remain focused on the strategic goal of strengthening the APC ahead of future electoral engagements.
He reaffirmed that the party’s leadership in the state is working in total alignment with the federal government’s Renewed Hope agenda.
