The Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has commenced a statewide tour of the 18 Local Government Areas of the state to appreciate the people for their support, interact directly with communities, and extend goodwill messages ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The tour is designed to deepen engagement between the government and the grassroots, providing the Governor with the opportunity to listen to the concerns of residents, receive feedback on governance, and reinforce the administration’s people-centred approach.
According to the Governor, the visit will also serve as an assessment exercise to evaluate the impact of key government programmes and policies, particularly the OUR EASE Agenda of the Ondo State Government and the Renewed Hope Initiatives of the Federal Government, as they affect communities at the local level.
Dr. Aiyedatiwa noted that effective governance thrives on constant interaction with the people, stressing that firsthand engagement remains critical to ensuring that development projects and social interventions are aligned with the needs of citizens across the state.
He assured residents that his administration remains committed to inclusive development, improved service delivery, and policies that enhance the welfare, security and economic opportunities of the people of Ondo State.
The Governor is expected to visit towns and communities across the three senatorial districts during the tour, where he will hold interactive sessions with traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, women organisations and other stakeholders, while spreading messages of unity, peace and prosperity as the year draws to a close.
