Authorities have confirmed that an investigation into a violent case involving alleged assault, robbery, arson, and threat to life in Agege remains ongoing, three months after the incident was first reported.

The case, officially recorded on January 15, 2026, involves a victim identified as Mohammed. According to the police report, unidentified armed men invaded the victim’s residence, attacked his family, and set portions of the premises on fire.

The complainant alleged that he and his children were repeatedly beaten, and he sustained a severe hand injury while escaping through the back of the house.

The victim has linked the attack to a series of previous violent encounters he reportedly faced in Oke-Ode, Kwara State, involving "Fulani bandits." He stated that he had relocated to Lagos specifically for safety after earlier attacks on his community resulted in disappearances and loss of life.

Despite the passage of time, no arrests have been made, and the perpetrators remain at large. There are growing calls for justice as the victim seeks a resolution to the case.

The police have urged anyone with useful information to come forward and report to the nearest station or relevant authorities.
