The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State has continued to record a significant political victory, strengthening its position ahead of the 2027 general elections with three members of the House of Representatives from the state, formerly of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) joining the ruling party.

Governor Uba Sani officially received the lawmakers on Monday at the National Assembly in Abuja.

He stated that their defection reflects their confidence in the inclusive, people-oriented governance model of his administration in Kaduna, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at the federal level.

The defecting federal lawmakers are, Hon. Abdulkareem Ahmed (representing Kaduna South Federal Constituency), Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi (representing Ikara/Kubau Federal Constituency) and
Hon. Sadiq Ango Abdullahi (representing Sabon Gari Federal Constituency).

Governor Sani described their decision to switch parties as a profound recognition of the APC’s progressive vision.

He noted that their move signals that the party’s leadership continues to attract credible political figures across the state.

“Their decision to join our esteemed party reflects a profound recognition of the inclusive, people-centered governance that our administration has steadfastly pursued in Kaduna State,” Governor Sani stated.

He pledged the full support of the APC leadership to the decampees as they integrate into what he described as our progressive family.

The Governor also used the opportunity to commend loyal APC members in Kaduna for their steadfastness and unity, urging them to remain focused on the collective goal of sustaining peace, development, and prosperity across the state.

The latest wave of defections will undoubtedly further weaken the PDP’s political structure in Kaduna, consolidating the APC’s dominance as the state prepares for the 2027 elections.
