The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has established a committee to rebrand the party in preparation for the 2027 general election.
This decision was reached during the first meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC), held in Abuja on Tuesday.
The meeting, presided over by Interim National Chairman Senator David Mark, saw the attendance of all national officers, including ex-officio members.
Briefing newsmen after the over six-hour meeting, ADC National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi revealed that three additional committees were also constituted. These include the Constitution Review Committee, the Policy Advocacy Committee, and the Membership Registration Committee.
Abdullahi further announced that the NWC approved dates for the Ekiti and Osun off-cycle governorship primaries, with the Ekiti primary scheduled to hold between October 10 and November 20, while the Osun primary is slated for December.
He added that the party’s operational guidelines for managing state-level affairs ahead of the forthcoming congresses had also been approved.
