Abiodun hails Tinubu, as Gateway Deep Seaport vision becomes reality

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his role in advancing the Gateway Deep Seaport and Ogun State Blue Marine Special Economic Zone from a decades-old proposal towards implementation.

Speaking following the signing of Memoranda of Understanding between the Ogun State Government and DP World in Paris, Abiodun described Tinubu as the “Facilitator-in-Chief” of the transformational projects.

The governor noted that the vision for a deep seaport along Ogun’s coastline had remained on the drawing board for nearly 30 years, saying the President’s leadership and the Federal Government’s support had provided the enabling environment needed to move the project forward.

Abiodun said the Gateway Deep Seaport and Blue Marine Special Economic Zone would open a new chapter for Ogun State, strengthening trade, industrialisation, logistics and Nigeria’s position in the global maritime economy.

“Posterity will indeed be kind to you, Mr. President,” the governor said.
