Abdulrazaq presents Danladi to Emir of Ilorin

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has presented the Speaker of the House of Assembly and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu to the Emir of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.

The visit of the Governor and the APC governorship candidate came after the Emir officially announced the appointment of 42-year-old Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani as the 13th Chief Imam of the Ilorin Emirate on Wednesday, June 10, through his personal assistant, Abdulraheem Muritala.

Governor Abdulrazaq commended Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari on the choice of Sheikh Dasuki to assume such an important spiritual position and prayed that Allaah guide and protect him, perfect His blessings upon him, and grant him long life and good health in the service of the ummah.

During the visit, the Governor also presented Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi to the Emir as the governorship candidate of the APC, while the monarch bestowed royal blessings on him and wished him well in the forthcoming Kwara State governorship election.

The Governor’s presentation of the Speaker to Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari as his successor has been widely interpreted by observers and political commentators as a move not only to seek royal blessings but also to strengthen grassroots acceptance and signal continuity in governance across the state.
