Abbey Mortgage Bank declares final dividend, sets AGM for May 25

Abbey Mortgage Bank PLC has unveiled plans to pay shareholders a final dividend of 12 Kobo for every 50 Kobo share held for the financial year ended December 31, 2025.
The announcement was made on Thursday through a corporate actions notice signed by the Company Secretary, Geoff Amaghereonu, and made available on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
According to the notice, the dividend payment remains subject to withholding tax and shareholder approval. Investors whose names appear in the Register of Members at the close of business on May 12, 2026, will qualify for the payout.
“A Final Dividend of 12 Kobo for every share of 50 Kobo, subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as at the close of business on 12th day of May, 2026,” the bank stated.
The Register of Shareholders is expected to close from May 13 to May 15, 2026, while dividend payment has been scheduled for Monday, May 25, 2026.
The lender confirmed that the dividend would be paid electronically to eligible shareholders who have completed their e-dividend registration and instructed the Registrar to credit their bank accounts directly.
“On 25th May 2026, dividends will be paid electronically to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members as at 12th May 2026 and who have completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the Registrar to pay their dividends directly into their Bank accounts,” the notice added.
Shareholders with unclaimed dividend warrants and share certificates that remain outstanding, or those yet to be presented for payment or returned for validation, were advised to complete the e-dividend registration process.
Abbey Mortgage Bank also announced that its Annual General Meeting will be held virtually on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 11 a.m.
